Lack of kattle; very expensive hotel even for Luxembourg; breakfast not inluded in the already high price
Excellent location, nice and unique desing
Hotel with an excellent location and friendness staff.
Excellent brand new renovations and modern design
The room was too dark
Location is amazing. Staff are very nice. A true boutique hotel with a luxurious sense to it.
In the heart of the city center, modern furniture, large room
The aircon in the room didn't work for the first 2 days of the visit when temperatures were over 30 degrees.
Wonderful "room review" by our check-in host. Very nice room. Good shower :) Location was perfect
Would have liked to have a concierge-type person to make area recommendations. Had little guidance from staff on what to see in Luxembourg. Even a pre-printed list would have been nice to have.
Amazing location right in the city centre, very efficient helpful stuff.Incredibly comfortable beds, big room, greatly equipped bathroom
If you want an excellent place to stay in luxembourg city, this hotel is the best choice. 5* accomodation for a nice price. The decoration is amazingly beautiful. The restaurant La Chantellerie - great nouvelle cuisine food - is the most beautifull I have ever seen... The best for a romantic dinner. The entire hotel decoration looks like the inside of a palace... Everything gold and velvet with carpet... Amazing. Stores, restaurants, pharmacy... All a few steps away from this adorable hotel. The city is all around the hotel, you don't need taxi, just walk. The staff is great... From the recception staff to the cleannig ladies. I asked for a towel and they took the incredible 2 minutes to bring it! The lunch had a buffet of salads and it was very, very good. Even the crib for my baby had beautiful sheets and blanket.
The standard room has a nice bed but not king size. Nice decoration but the ceilling is attic like. I did not like it very much, but it's part of the hotel concept. There are other rooms that aren't like that. Other then that everything was perfect.
Location was excellent. Room was very nice if a little quirky. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and were highly professional.
The location was just what we wanted, however, it comes with a difficult access route if you have a car. We didn't understand this at first but with the help of the staff found it acceptable (if a bit costly).
The hotel is excellently placed for exploring the historic centre and unesco site. Service and attention to detail were impeccable, along with the standard of housekeeping, furnishings and decor. Sheer luxury and restful, elegant ambience in a beautiful city, with staff who clearly value and respect their guests and who cannot not do enough for you. I could not fault it. The a la carte restaurant has a lovely first floor terrace and there is also cool, quiet courtyard where you can have a meal from the brasserie or a drink. Many rooms give onto an inner courtyard which is an oasis of calm and light. The rest of the hotel facilities also appeared to be at the same excellent standard, although we did not use many of them during our stay.
The hotel is situated in a square which is very central to the old city and full of life. Whilst not particularly noisy or unpleasant in any way, I was surpursed to find that the bars and restaurants around it are not what I had expected given the standard of the hotel (including MacDonalds!). However, it is a mere 5 minute walk the lovely 'haute ville' with a far, far nicer selection. The hotel's own restaurants and bar are also excellent. Overall this it is a minor drawback, and the hotel's advantages more than make up for this minor distraction. The hotel is still better placed and of a far higher quality than any other we saw.
Exceptional quality of the interior design and decorartion of the lobbies and of the rooms
hotel totally non smoking but no sign to warn you
The hotel was like an oasis but is in the very centre of the city. It was a stunning buiding inside - a wonderful mix of old and new. The staff were very welcoming and the staff in the restaurant were very attentive. The decor throughout the hotel and in the bedrooms was beautiful. I had requested a bottle of wine for our room to celebrate my husband's birthday. This was done and the hotel then presented us with a complimentary freshly made (and delicious!) birthday cake. Later we had dinner in the beautiful restaurant which overlooks the square. The food was excellent and when my husband's dessert arrived, the chocolate soufflé had a candle in it and they had written Happy Birthday in chocolate on the plate. Thankfully though there was no singing! We really enjoyed our short stay and will definitely be back!
This is not a fault of the hotel but the sat nav (in a new car) was not able to get us diectly to the door so we parked in a carpark and eventually found the hotel after ringing. We saw no name plates/sign posts for the square in the city streets despite it being a very large square. Suggest printing out a street map before going. The only thing not available in the hotel that would have been nice was a swimming pool.
Very good service on all fronts regarding the hotel
The service in the restaurant / terrasse was extremely poor - too long waiting, wriong delivery etc.
